Frequently Asked Questions

I live in California. How did you find a job in my area when ABC is based out of North Carolina?

ABC has a network of contacts that spans the entire United States. Our regional managers work diligently in finding and placing therapists in every state. If you live in California, we have representatives completely devoted to your geographic needs.

At what rate does ABC Speech pay their therapists?

ABC Speech Therapy pays their therapists on an hourly basis. Because all therapists are at different levels of experience, ABC Speech Therapy doesn't have set rates that we offer to therapists for assignments. Also, ABC Speech Therapy is a national provider of speech therapy services, so pay is contingent on geographical location.

What is the difference between contracting with ABC Speech Therapy and being a W2 employee?

ABC Speech Therapy gives their therapists the choice of being paid as an employer of ABC Speech Therapy (W2) or as a 1099 contractor. Therapists who will be with ABC Speech Therapy for an extended period of time may want to consider being a W2 employee, which means that we will take out taxes for you. Also, a W2 employee is qualified to receive benefits if they are working at least 30 hours a week. For a short term assignment, such as a maternity leave, a therapist will be best served as a 1099 contractor. We also give this option to therapists who work with ABC Speech Therapy who already have their own practice.
